Homemade Ranch Dressing

Homemade Ranch Dressing

The girls love homemade ranch dressing to dip their veggies into and pour onto their salads. We never could find quite the right blend from a store-bought ranch, so we came up with the perfect version for us at home.

We have one daughter who absolutely loves salads and another who is not a fan. But the one who doesn’t care for salads loves to dip veggies. So, on nights we’re having salads, Small Fry gets herself a little veggies and dip tray. It’s pretty darn tasty and just as healthy as a salad in most cases.

This homemade ranch dressing is perfect for us because we can make it exactly how we want it. The mayonnaise and yogurt are the base of this dressing and the milk simply serves to get it to that dressing-appropriate viscosity. So, feel free to adjust the milk to your preference.

Mustard and lemon juice add a yummy tanginess and our homemade Italian seasoning is the perfect easy peasy spice blend to make our ranch extra special. You can add more or less to taste. We find about a tablespoon is how the kids enjoy it most, but you may want more for yourself. (Hint: mom and dad can always mix in a little extra in their bowls!)

When we’re not having this, we’re also big fans of easy balsamic vinaigrette or our homemade bleu cheese dressing.
What’s your favorite homemade dressing?
