Easy Mango Lassi Smoothies | @VeggieConverter

My girls LOVE mango. And they LOVE smoothies. They tried Mango Lassis for the first time earlier this year at our favorite local Indian restaurant and they, unsurprisingly went insane for them. So, we started planning to make mango lassi yogurt smoothies at home. And, as it turns out, they’re stupid easy!

Just add some chopped mango, some yummy whole milk yogurt, a banana and, if you like, a bit of citrusy essential oil and a dash of cardamom. The amounts and proportions are really flexible. Play around and add/subtract what you like. Smoothies are awesome like that!

Mango Lassi Yogurt Smoothies Recipe

Makes about 4 small smoothies

Ingredients

2 cups chopped mango (frozen or fresh)
2 cups homemade yogurt (I make mine in my VitaClay now, but you can make it in your crockpot, too!)
1 ripe banana
A drop of orange or tangerine (vitality) essential oil (optional) [I buy mine HERE!]
A dash of cardamom (optional)

Method

Add all ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and enjoy. If you like, you can leave the optional ingredients out and flavor your individual smoothies for kids and parents who differ on tastes.

If you don’t finish it off, just pour the remainder in a popsicle mold and make yourself a crazy easy lassi pop. Yum! Great for lunchboxes, too. These are seriously delicious and so simple. I hope you and your family love them as much as we do. Don’t let the title fool you, these babies aren’t just for the kids. 🙂
