Yum. Most recipes have spices included like ginger, cinnamon, etc., but I went for the blank slate and figured everyone could add what they want. So yummy and it’s sort of like a mild sweet potato. I’ve not had rutabagas before and I really like them.

A casserole made out of mashed rutabaga is a traditional Finnish Christmas dish. I think it may be sweeetened by a process similar to malting, as it's quite sweet and quite dark and the potato casserole eaten at Christmas is sweetened like this. I believe some cloves/nutmeg/allspice is also used.
I think my husband would really like this. He loves rutabagas, though we rarely get them here.
I really liked it. Jas said it was like squash casserole, which I've never had. Yummy.
