I LOVE limeade. And, lately, with swearing off sodas altogether (I’ve been on a very rare occasional soda diet for years), I’ve been looking for something exciting to drink when I don’t feel like water. I’ve made a lot of fruit sodas like apple juice and club soda. But when I came across a simple limeade recipe, I knew I had to give it a try. The girls are sure to love it, too. They love fresh fruit juice, even when it’s super tart. Such great, adventurous kids.
Ingredients
2 limes, quartered1 1/2 cups water1-2 cups sucanat (to taste)Water and ice to fill remainder of 2 quart pitcherInstructions
Cut limes (unpeeled) and place in a jar or container with 1 1/2 cups cool water and sucanat. Blend with stick blender.
Place a strainer over a 2 quart pitcher and pour pureed limes into pitcher, squishing extra juice out with a spoon. Pour water into container and add additional sucanat, to taste. Pour over ice and enjoy.
