It’s a new year so I’m trying to get back in the habit of menu planning again. Also, I’m doing a lot of freezer and pantry clean-up. You can imagine how much “extra” food builds up when you cook something different every day for a year! We have a lot to go back and enjoy so I’m pulling out all the freezer stops this week to give myself a bit of a break from cooking.
New recipes this week will likely be mostly condiments in my plight to find homemade real food condiments and sauces to use in my goal to Get Real in 2012. I may also have some pantry and freezer clean out recipes as part of the Get Real Great Pantry Purge. Check out my new Pinterest board for Homemade Sauces and Condiments and another for our Family Favorites from the 2011 Challenge. I’m hoping to choose the top 10 favorites and re-cook those later this month. I’d love your feedback on your favorites!

Yummy menu, Kristi. I love that you are working on condiments this week. We are condiment fiends here, and my fridge door is packed with them. I love making our own dressings especially. You can make them so much tastier! The mushroom empanadas look amazing! My kids would love those (and so would I).
Hope you have a great week!
